"Matty D" began racing go karts at the age of 8 at Dodge City Speedway as well as many other dirt and asphalt kart tracks in the Northeast. In the seven years Matt raced karts he won 128 kart features as well as many track titles. Matt also won the WKA Northeast Regional title for the star champ class. The Northeast Region is comprised of seven states.
Matt moved into a 4 cylinder Budget Sportsman in 2005 at the Glenridge Speedway where he won ten features as well as the track title for that class. Matt, who is also a very accomplished wrestler broke his ankle while preparing for the Empire State Olympic Games in 2006 and this postponed the start of his sprint car season until late September of 2006.
So far in the 2007 race season Matty has recorded two 305 sprint car wins, one at Thunder Mountain Speedway, in Center Lisle, New York and the other at the Utica Rome Speedway in Vernon, New York.


First Career Sprint Start-- September 2006 at Glenridge Mototsports Park

First Sprint Feature Win -- June 2007 at Thunder Mountain Speedway

Finished 9th in CRSA points after competing in only 9 of the 13 scheduled points races.
